a good website

so i was just surfing the internet, looking up information about ghana and its neighboring countries, and ran across this site about ghana by the CIA. it has tons of facts and answers pretty much any questions you may have about the country's structure.

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/gh.html

very interesting. it's worth a look!

25 Things from Isha (as per yoour request)

1. I hardly ever answer my phone at home and I rarely even turn on my cell phone. I think this is because I am on the phone all day at work and still have about 40 voice messages stacked-up at the end of everyday
2. I have a reputation of being a “hard ass” at work. I take our commitment to the people with disabilities very seriously and also feel a strong obligation to the public to be a good steward of public funds and I insist my employees do the same. With a few exceptions, I think most of my co-workers and employees might be perplexed by the kinder, gentler “Isha” that my family and friends know.
3. I love art, especially modern art. I wish I knew more about art history, although I try and read and learn as much as I can absorb. Mark Rothko is my current favorite, but I have had my most profound emotional experiences of art with Van Gogh’s portraits.
4. Most of the activities I love to do are individual pursuits, like reading (mostly non-fiction), writing, knitting, crosswords, watching PBS, spiritual practices, sleeping, and most recently patio gardening. Sometimes I just like to sit and think.
5. I love the black and white movie classics from the 1930’s, 1940’s, and 1950’s. I think in general they are far superior to most of the movies made in my lifetime.
6. My favorite book (fiction) is “To Kill a Mockingbird.” My favorite non-fiction book is “Founding Brothers.” Currently I am reading “The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln” by Doris Kearns Goodwin.
7.For the last two years I have been writing a novel about the lives of a group of five women who work together known as “The Round Table Ladies.” Even if I never finish it, the process of writing it has been a worthwhile experience.
8.I have a weird aversion to eating blue food. I won’t eat anything blue. Not even if it is naturally blue like blueberries. I have no idea why.
9.I am a firm believer in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Thus my varied opinions on the political issues of our time can confuse and/or irritate my mostly Democrat friends (who believe I’m a Republican) and my mostly Republican family (who are certain I’m a Democrat
10.My biggest regret and disappointment in life is not having children. I have always been blessed to have children in my life even though they weren’t my own. Particularly close to my heart are my nieces and nephews, whom I love dearly and who have brought much joy and laughter into my world. .
11. My father was the finest man I’ve ever known. I miss his “Zen” wisdom and loving heart. Mostly I think I miss his deep laugh…the best laugh there ever was.
12. My brother, Michael, and my Mom are the two most courageous people I’ve ever known. If you know (or knew) them well, then you don’t need me to elaborate.
13. I love purple!
14.I would love to get a dog, but I live a cat lifestyle.
15. I need to get more exercise, but I think I’m allergic to it! It makes my muscles sore, my heart beat faster, and I breathe harder and start sweating and stuff like that. Can this really be good for a person?
16. I like lots of different kinds of music (rap not so much). I really love the 1960’s Motown sound and when I was younger my secret desire was to grow up to be a black back-up singer in that genre.
17. My dream job is to run a non-profit foundation that funds organizations that have innovative ideas for addressing social issues that affect children like poverty, hunger, child abuse, and education. When I was in college, my dream job was to study orangutans in Borneo. How things change!
18. My family are the most important people in my life .I feel like I spend way too little time with them. I am actively working on this!
19. Sex is good, but chocolate is better!
20.I love God with all my heart and soul. I identify myself as Christian because I love Jesus and strive to follow his example and teachings, but I don’t believe he is the only son of God or the only path to God.
21. People who are ignorant, and do not strive to overcome their ignorance, really bug me.
22. I’m often times more judgmental than I like to admit. (See #21 above).
23. I’m super organized at work, but a complete mess at home.
24. No one on this earth can irritate me more than my Mom (and I her), but I love her more than anyone on this earth, feel closer to her than anyone on this earth, and would rather be with her than anyone on this earth. And Mom really does love me best! 
25. I’ve always been a sensitive and empathetic person. I feel things deeply and passionately, and my passion has always been to try and make things a little better for people who seem to be suffering. Unfortunately, that can sometimes present itself as a form of arrogance that is ultimately unhelpful and unkind. I want to get to the place spiritually where I can really see and honor God in everyone and everything. I think that is where the ultimate peace is to be found.

Only for you EJ...only for you.
